Connecticut-marked Ames Light Artillery Saber, c. 1862, brass hilt stamped "85," leather and brass wire-wrapped grip, ricasso marked on one side "CONN/1862," and "Ames" on the other, and a steel scabbard, blade lg. 33, overall lg. 38 1/2 in.
