Description:

Unmarked Confederate Cavalry Saber and Scabbard, c. 1861-65, brass hilt with leather-wrapped grip, unmarked steel blade, and a steel scabbard with brass carrying rings, blade lg. 35, overall lg. 41 in.

Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio.

Leather is intact on the grip but the wire is missing, blade has some patina and the scabbard is in good condition.
