Whitney 1822 U.S. Contract Musket Converted to Percussion, c. 1834, walnut stock with a crisp cartouche mark on the left side and one in front of the buttplate, lock marked on the tail "NEW/HAVEN/1834" and in front of the hammer "U.S./E. WHITNEY," marked "MS" on the left side of the breech, barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 3/4 in.

Stock has a few dings and nicks, some pitting on the breech, and the lock needs work to function properly.
