Dexter Smith Breech-loading Shotgun and Spur Trigger Pistol, c. late 19th century, serial number 1424, walnut stock with steel fittings, marked on the top of the barrel "Manufactured by Dexter Smith, Springfield, Mass. Pat. Jan. 8 & Oct.1, 67. Feb. 14 & Mar. 7, 70," and a spur trigger pistol marked "HERO" on the left side of the frame.

Shotgun has a few missing parts and needs repair, pistol has a broken spring.
