Liverpool Creamware Masonic Jug, England, c. 1817, polychrome enameled black transfer decoration to either side, one with Masonic symbols and verse, the reverse with a scene of farmers fending off a traveler, below the spout in cartouche Willm Shield 1817, ht. 8 1/8 in.

Several surface chips to the glaze at lower portion of jug. Some enamel flaking to scene; 1/2" chip to footrim and shallow 1/2" chip to edge of spout. the black transfer is rather "muddy".
