Two Portraits of a Gentleman and Lady, Probably After Jakob Ferdinand Voet (French, 1639-1700)
Unsigned.
Each oil on canvas, 26 3/4 x 22 in. (68.0 x 56.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, mounting bubbles, probable old retouch, craquelure, varnish discoloration, surface grime.

N.B. Born in Antwerp, Voet was a gifted portraitist who became court painter to Louis XIV of France.
Estimate $600-800

The male sitter bears a resemblance to Philippe-Julien Mancini-Mazarin, Duc de Nevers, and to the Portrait of a Young Man by Voet in the Hatton Gallery, Newcastle upon Tyne, Great Britain.
