Wedgwood & Bentley Black Basalt Vase and Cover, England, c. 1775, shape no. 41 with maiden head handles, swirled fluting to the bottle-shaped neck above a band of drapery swags bordering elongated gadroons, impressed circular mark, ht. 10 in.

Possibly married or replaced cover. Slight edge roughness and minor chipping to headdress of each handle. One handle restored through at neck.
