Praying Figure
Inscribed "Giovanni Mauro della Rovere (il Fiammenghino) c. 1575-1640/Lanino?" in pencil on the back of the window mat, inscribed "Milan late 16th Cent." on the frame backing paper.
Ink, black chalk, and bodycolor on gray laid paper, 6 1/2 x 6 5/8 in. (16.5 x 17.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Small holes and losses, foxing, staining, creasing, minor losses to bodycolor, sheet affixed to the front of a window mat along the perimeter of the reverse so that the back is visible, with a paper patch affixed to the c.r. edge of the reverse.
