Description:

Three Mennonite Quilts, St. Jacob's, Waterloo County, Ontario, c. 1910-30, including two "Nine Patch" pattern quilts composed of contrasting shades of blue and rose-colored cloth, and one "Crown of Thorns" pattern quilt composed of shades of red, rose, and blue cloth, lg. to 84, wd. to 76 in.

Provenance: The "Nine Patch" quilt was made by Leah Martin and her sister, and the "Crown of Thorns" quilt was probably made by Lydia Martin's mother or grandmother.
