Description:

Putty-painted Pine Blanket Chest over Two Drawers, New England, early 19th century, the molded lift top opens to a well, above two drawers and cutout base with demilune ends, original surface of mustard and burnt sienna, ht. 41 3/4, case wd. 38 1/2, case dp. 16 3/4 in.

Provenance: A Franklin, New Hampshire, estate.
Estimate $4,000-6,000

panel between the two drawers is loose and should be reattached. Minor paint wear, but the surface is very crisp and intact.
