Description:

Mennonite "Log Cabin" Quilt, St. Jacob's, Waterloo County, Ontario, c. 1930, strips of cloth in various hues of black, blue, and purple forming a layered effect of alternating light and dark tones of log cabin blocks, lg. 84, wd. 69 in.

Provenance: Made by Lydia Martin, St. Jacob's, Ontario, acquired from the estate of Leah Martin, one of Lydia's daughters.
Estimate $400-600

Good overall condition, one purple strip within a block has a c. 1 /8 x 1/8 in. hole.
