Elizabeth Whittemore Needlework and Painted Memorial, Charlestown, Massachusetts, c. 1803, depicting Elizabeth beneath a willow tree standing next to a memorial to her sister Mary reading "IN Memory/of/Mary/Whittemore/obit Jan 28th/1803/Wrought by her sister/Eliza Whittemore, in original elaborate gilt-gesso frame, sight ht. 19 3/4, wd. 23 in.

Provenance: Descended through the Harrison family of Charlestown, Massachusetts.

Note: Elizabeth Whittemore was born 1791 to Nathan and Mehitable Carter Whittemore of Charlestown, Massachusetts. She died in 1860.
