Note: Dr. Edward Augustus Holyoke (1728-1829) was the son of Reverend Edward Holyoke, President of Harvard. Dr. Holyoke was a physician in Salem, Massachusetts for 73 years. He was one of the founders of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the founder and first president of the Massachusetts Medical Society.
