Transfer-printed George Washington "Peace Plenty and Independence" Creamware Jug, Herculaneum Pottery, Liverpool, England, early 19th century, one side with eagle over panoply of arms, figures of Peace and Plenty, with "PEACE/PLENTY/AND/INDEPENDENCE" in a round medallion, the other side with image of Washington mourning obelisk "WASHINGTON IN GLORY" and "AMERICA IN TEARS," beneath the spout is a spreadwing eagle above "HERCULANEUM POTTERY LIVERPOOL," ht. 9 in.
Estimate $800-1,200

Small chip on the inside of the rim; two "Y" shaped cracks near the eagle.
