Carved Cherry Scroll-top High Chest of Drawers, Wethersfield, Connecticut, area, c. 1760-80, the molded cornice centering a carved pinwheel plinth, seven-drawer upper section and four-drawer lower section each with central fan-carved drawer, the lower section with cutout skirt joining cabriole legs, old brasses, refinished, ht. with finial 86 1/4, lower case wd. 37 3/4, lower case dp. 20 in.

cracking due to shrinkage in the crests, a patched shrinkage crack to a lower case side. In addition, there appears to be shadows of other brass around the existing brass, but not much disturbance on the back sides of the drawers. Refinish has some age.
