Mourning Needlework for Hannah Talbot, Mary Talbot, Balch School, Providence, Rhode Island, late 18th/early 19th century, designed as a willow tree above an urn-topped memorial to the deceased Hannah Talbot (d. March 24, 1795, at age 20), in an ebonized and gilt eglomise mat inscribed along the lower edge "Wrought by Mary Talbot," in a gilt frame with ropetwist carving, overall 12 3/4 x 17 in.
