Staffordshire Jackfield Black-glazed Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1775, bird finial, molded crabstock handle and spout to a squat bulbous shape with gilded sprig decoration of leaves, vines, and berries, and mounted atop three lion mask and paw feet, ht. 4 3/4 in.

Cover: Shallow 1/4" rim chip.
