Description:

Astbury-type Glazed Redware Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1765, cylindrical form with allover engine-turned chevron design, impressed pseudo Chinese chop mark, ht. 4 3/4 in.

Provenance: The Victor & Muriel Polikoff Collection.
Estimate $200-400

Cover: Several shallow rim flakes/chips.
Pot: Shallow chips to spout; fine hairline crack running down one side and across base.
