Two Allegorical Scenes: Her Suitor's Letters Discovered and A Fainting Spell. Unsigned, with canvas stencils from G. Rowney & Company, London, and J.J. Adams, Boston, on the reverse of each. Oil on canvas, 27 5/8 x 19 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Minor retouch, scattered abrasions, craquelure, alligatoring, varnish discoloration, surface accretions and grime.
