Large wall map originally printed on four separate sheets, the two top and bottom sections joined to their horizontal members, top and bottom not mounted to one another, the two horizontal sections separately matted and framed, outline color, each section measures 49 x 16 1/4 in. (2)
This map of Virginia is the most detailed of the 18th century and was used during the Revolutionary War. Fry was the immediate predecessor of George Washington as commanding officer of the Virginia Regiment; and Peter Jefferson was Thomas Jefferson's father.
