Jefferson, Thomas (1743-1826) Signed Military Commission, 27 April 1802. Illustrated commission engraved by I. Draper, printed on parchment and fulfilled by hand, appointing Pearson Titcomb First Lieutenant in the Regiment of Artillerists, countersigned by Secretary of War Henry Dearborn (1751-1829), old folds, lacking the seal, fly speck, 18 x 14 1/2 in.
