Paul César Helleu (French, 1859-1927)

Étude d'après la Duchesse de Marlborough (Montesquiou, ix). Signed "Helleu" in pencil l.l. Etching and drypoint printed in umber and rose on paper, plate size 15 1/2 x 10 3/4 in. (39.3 x 27.3 cm), framed.
Condition: Unobtrusive toning, fox marks, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $400-600

Sheet measures 17 3/8 x 12 1/4 in. (44.2 x 31.3 cm). Hinged with linen tape at upper corners, pale mat burn, fox marks primarily at c.r. and u.l. quadrant, rippling to sheet, hinge remnants on verso at upper corners. No additional issues to report.
