Oil on canvas, 11 3/8 x 60 1/2 in. (29.0 x 153.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Minor retouch, craquelure, surface grime.

The is some pale fluorescence to the sky under ultra violet light. It is not clear if this is old retouch or a natural fluorescence from the old pigment. There is no evidence of any kind of repair to that area.
Old minor paint loss to u.r. corner, located 6 inches in from the right side and 3 inches down from the top. Faint stretcher bar marks along the top of the composition. Small vertical line (1-1/2 inches) to the lower right corner where the paint is thinned but there does not appear to be surface damage. Some varnish discoloration. Stable craquelure.
Frame inscribed with framer's notes and with the name "Cunliff" in two place in pencil.
