Unsigned, inscribed indistinctly in a later hand on the reverse of the support sheet.
Ink and wash on laid paper, 8 3/4 x 6 1/4 in. (22.3 x 16.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Toning, staining, rippling, creasing, losses to u.l. edge, affixed to a secondary paper support at the four corners of the reverse.

Provenance: The estate of Irving Penn, New York.

It has been suggested that the drawing is most likely from the 16th century.
