N.B. The painting at hand has been reviewed by the RKD-Netherlands Institute for Art History which identified the location and provided the suggested date to the first half of the 18th century. It may be a copy after an earlier painting, although the specific source has not been identified. It relates to views by Flemish 17th-century artists including van de Velde, Bonaventura Peeters, Jan Peeters, and Cornelis Mahu.
