Pair of Auguste Nicholas Cain (1821-1894) Bronze Six-light Candelabra, France, second half 19th century, patinated, with two birds surmounting a support issuing a foliage-wrapped armature, extending to a carved bird motif above "AC" monogram to cartouche, signed "CAIN," and inscribed to ribbon above base "A M.p E. HOUEL LES ELEVEURS DE L'ORN 1869," on three avian-form grotesque feet and tripartite base, ht. 34 in.

N.B. Cain was known for sculpture and animalier bronzes.
