Georgian Mahogany Dining Table with Seven Chairs, England, 19th century, oval table with inlaid satinwood banding, double pedestal tripartite base with downswept channeled legs ending in brass paw feet, with one leaf wd. 6, and another wd. 17 1/2, total ht. 29, wd. 100, dp. 40; each chair heavily carved with shaped crest rail and pierced splat, fabric-covered seat, on cabriole legs, including two armchairs, ht. 38 1/2, wd. 26 1/2, dp. 25 1/2, and five side chairs, ht. 39 1/4, wd. 25, dp. 22 in.
Provenance: The Estate of Elaine Sargent.
Leaves are 6" in width and 17 1/2" in width and do not fit tightly with tabletop. Table is with some overall signs of wear including surface abrasions and nicks to pedestal base. Chairs have some missing elements, signs of wear including nicks and chips.
