Herter Brothers Aesthetic Movement Walnut Bookcase, America, late 19th century, overall gilt highlights including spade, anthemion, and foliate motifs, tripartite form overall, shaped and stepped raised cornice over a centralized cabinet with carved corbels extending to pilasters framing an arched paneled glass door and shelved interior, flanked by similarly styled cabinets with glass doors and shelved interiors, each section over a single drawer, raised on a shaped plinth base, impressed "HERTER BROS." mark to back, ht. 68 1/4, wd. 64, dp. 20 3/4 in.
