Gilded and Paint-decorated Wooden Trunk, Tibetan China, late 18th/early 19th century or possibly earlier, wood, lacquer, paints, the top with metal ring hinges, the front panel with cartouche of a coiled dragon holding a container of flaming gems set in a formal floral textile design, the side panels depicting flaming gems, 17 1/2 x 35 1/2 x 12 1/2 in.
