Table Screen with Embroidered Panel, China, 19th/20th century, the near square panel decorated with openwork floral and foliate scrolls, with a glazed roundel in the center embroidered with a pair of phoenixes on a peony branch along with various birds including cranes, swallows, and parrots, signed "Chen Qingyao" with two embroidered seals, the stand with two stretcher legs decorated with archaic-style openwork ruyi designs, overall ht. 22 3/8, round panel dia. 12 in.
