Painted Wood Manuscript Cover, Tibetan China, 13th century style, with a horizontally long rhombus flanked by two half rhombuses in a rectangular reserve, the rhombuses decorated with floral and foliate scrolls, spirals, and ruyi clouds in sgraffito against a gilt or silver gilt ground and surrounded with a green border decorated with interlocking foliate scroll designs, slightly convex front, plain flat reverse, 11 x 28 in.
