Description:

Hanging Scroll Depicting Blooming Plum Branches, China, Liu Haisu (1896-1994), against a mica background, inscribed, signed with seal, and dated "dinghai" (1947) on painting, an inscription meaning "Sent by Yang Jiayu to Zeng Yin as a gift in 1966" on the fabric matt with a date "bingwu" (1966), ink and color on paper, painting 58 x 14 7/8 in.

numerous horizontal creases, two horizontal tears, multiple traces of repaired creases to paper, some trace of retouches on painting, prevalent foxing in progress particularly to the fabric matte.
