Description:

Bird and Flower Painting, China, Yan Bolong (1898-1955), dated 1947, depicting a pair of black birds and a few small birds resting on tree branches, with bamboo and fall leaves, signed by Yan Bolong, inscribed "dinghai" year in imitation of Xinluo Shanren's (Hua Yan, 1682-1756) brush style, with two seals of the artist "bolong shuhua" and "changbai buyi," ink and color on paper, framed, size 39 1/2 x 13 1/2 in.

not examined out of frame, foxing in progress particularly to the upper part, extensive horizontal buckling, minor creases.
