Large Cloisonne Jar, Japan, 19th/20th century, oviform with short waisted neck and flared mouth, resting on a short raised foot rim, decorated with a variety of chrysanthemums and butterflies against a black ground, numbered "55" on base, ht. 24 1/4, mouth rim dia. 8 5/8 in.
