Description:
Jack Hamilton Bush (Canadian, 1909-1977)
Lincoln Center, 1974, edition of 144. Signed, dated, and numbered "Jack Bush 1974 33/144" in pencil l.l. Color screenprint on paper, image size 58 x 34 in. (147.3 x 86.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Minor soiling, possible abrasion to image l.l., not examined out of frame.
Provenance: Citizens Bank, Providence, Rhode Island.
Estimate $1,500-2,000
The sheet is not laid down or hinged, but is stuck to the backing board at the l.l. corner possibly from adhesive or similar as there is evidence of residue on the verso of the backing. The print is framed in a Plexiglass box, which is cracked and with losses at l.l. All edges of the sheet are visible. Because of its scale, the recto of the print could not be easily examined without risking damage, but minor rippling and very light discoloration at edges of the sheet were observed. The print is lighly scuffed at l.l. where the Plexiglass box is cracked.
