Monogram, 1944. Stamped "MAN RAY/PARIS" in black ink on the reverse of the mount u.c. Gelatin silver print mounted to board, image/sheet size 4 3/4 x 5 1/2 in. (12.0 x 14.0 cm),framed.
Condition: Subtle staining on the mount verso l.l., minor wear to corners.
N.B. In 1944, Man Ray assembled photographs of a group of three-dimensional sculptures he made from found objects and prepared accompanying texts for a publication he called "Objects of My Affection." He produced several maquettes for the book, including this one, although it was never published. The lot is accompanied by a 1987 certificate of authenticity signed by Lucien Treillard.
