Louis XVI-style Gilt-bronze and Marble-top Table à Ecrire, France, early 20th century, tulipwood and kingwood, overall inlaid, pierced and shaped gallery surrounding a brocatelle violette top over two-drawer case, top drawer with slide-out tooled leather writing surface and vacant compartment below, bottom drawer impressed "F II" to underside, sides with carved mounted swags and scroll handles, right side with drawer, overall case framed by ram's head figural masks and frieze with cartouches accented by foliage, on cabriole legs with sabot-mounted stylized pied-a-biche feet, ht. 31 1/2, wd. 25, dp. 19 1/2 in.
