Description:

Caldwell & Co.-type Marble and Gilt-bronze Mantel Clock, probably France, 19th century, round face with roman numerals, heavily carved shell and foliate mounts decorated with fruit underneath, all resting on a rectangular plinth supported by plumed pomegranate feet, mechanism unsigned, ht. 18 1/4 in.

Clock mechanism not guaranteed to be in working order. Some overall signs of age-expected wear and use including rubbing to bronze mounts, numerals and hands, some scuffs and abrasions of marble, small chip on top of face and small nicks overall.
