Two Landscapes: Summer View with Mill and Winter View with Skaters
Unsigned, attributed in painted escutcheons on the supporting sheets.
Watercolor on paper, 6 5/8 x 8 5/8 in. (16.7 x 21.9 cm),framed.
Condition: Not examined out of frames.
Estimate $400-600

Frames were subsequently opened prior to sale. Winter view is rippled from water damage to the reverse, where there are abrasions and remnants of an old mounting. Paint losses to the snowy roof of the building on the far left. Retouch along the top edge. Summer view with foxing to the reverse. Both drawings hinged along the top edge of the reverse with brown paper tape.
