Apache High-top Moccasins, c. 1890s, with thick rawhide soles, beaded with geometric designs, a cross on the vamp, and with lightning and plant-like designs, traces of blue pigment, (minor bead loss), lg. of soles 10, ht. approx. 13 in.
Provenance: Purportedly owned by Major General William Carter, Fort D.A. Russell, Cheyenne, Wyoming.
