Literature: There is a reference to this maker in Willard's Patent Timepieces, by Paul J. Foley, which notes, "by 1840 Quimby had become an avid practitioner of mental healing-one of his patients and pupils was Mary Baker Eddy. She credited him as her teacher and adopted the name 'Christian Science' which Quimby had used in his work."
