Red-painted Cherry Tall Chest of Drawers, probably Connecticut, late 18th century, the molded cornice above six thumb-molded graduated drawers with applied base molding above the cutout valanced base, ht. 53 1/2, wd. 34 3/4, dp. 16 in.
Provenance: John Keith Russell; sold at Northeast Auctions, August 3, 2007, where it was acquired by the present owner.
Note: An old label for Birch and Bradley Plumbers, Hartford, Connecticut, is affixed to the bottom of a drawer.
