Twelve Assorted Woodblock Prints, Japan, five depicting classic paintings, various editions with three of Yamaguchi editions published in 1853-1857; six by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858),posthumous edition, from the series Selected Forty-eight Views of Edo including The Kilns by the Hashiba Ferry on the Sumida River, The Sakasai Ferry, Shimmei Shrine and Zojo Temple in Shiba, The Nihon Embankment and the Yoshiwara, Lumberyards at Fukagawa, and View from the Top of the Slope at the Tenjin Shrine at Yushima, all above oban tate-e; and a cover with Foreword for Twelve Aspects of Beautiful Women by Migita Toshihide (1863-1925),backed, double oban, 13 3/4 x 19 in.
