Frederick Porter Vinton (American, 1846-1911),Spanish Village, inscribed and dedicated "...Spain, 1882...from/Frederick P. Vinton" on the reverse, oil on panel, 5 3/4 x 9 1/4 in.; and Herman Dudley Murphy (American, 1867-1945),Tranquil Shore in Mist, monogrammed "m" within a circle l.r., oil on panel, 9 1/4 x 12 1/2 in., with a label from W.J. Gardner, Boston, on the frame backing paper. Condition: Spain with scattered paint losses, surface grime; Shore with paint losses, abrasions, surface grime.
