First edition, early issue, folio, illustrated with forty hand-colored aquatints; including views of many of the Duke of Wellington's triumphs, the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's Russian campaign, and the Battle of Trafalgar; bound in contemporary three-quarter red straight-grain morocco, raised bands, marbled boards, original printed paper label laid down on front cover, uncut; one plate reinforced along its edges on verso, occasional foxing to text plates generally good, strong hand-coloring; rubbing to binding, 11 1/2 x 14 1/2 in.
