William IV of the United Kingdom (1765-1799) Document Signed, 26 June 1830. Single page sealed document inscribed on laid paper folio-format bifolium. Document authorizing the new king to use the stamp of the Office of the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the first day of his reign; also signed by Home Secretary Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850),who later served two terms as Prime Minister. Old folds, some dog-ears, toning, closed tears, 12 1/2 x 7 3/4 in.
