To Charles Henry "Mac" MacDonald (1914-2002),a fellow pilot with whom Lindbergh served in the South Pacific, sending along a copy of his Wartime Journals, (not present) and commending his service; folds, 8 1/2 x 11 in.
"Let me say again what a great privilege it was to fly with you and work with you during the Pacific war. Although you scored third in 'victories,' I regard you as the most outstanding of the Pacific combat pilots. I say this because of the skill and effectiveness with which you led your Group in addition to achieving the position of third ranking Ace." Mac flew the Putt Putt Maru.
