Henry Au Louvre Brass Cartel Clock, Paris, c. 1860, neoclassical brass case with urn at the top, garlands, swags, scrolls, and a fluted plinth surmount the porcelain convex roman numeral dial marked Henry Au Louvre/a Paris and pierced brass hands flanked by acanthus leaves and blind brass sound frets backed by green fabric to the glazed pendulum aperture and grotesque mask pediment, eight-day time and strike, spring-powered, rectangular movement with count wheel mounted on the rear plate, regulated by a sunburst pendulum bob and iron rod, ht. 31 in.
