Thomas Pierce Mahogany Longcase Clock, Bristol, United Kingdom, c. 1785, the swan's neck pediment with brass rosettes and central finial, blind fret frieze and cornice, freestanding columns capped with Corinthian capitals flank the composite brass dial with silvered roman numeral chapter ring, cast brass spandrels, maker's boss engraved Tho. Pierce/Bristol, recessed date and moon's age and High Water at Bristol Key, the waist door with serpentine top flanked by chamfered reeded columns and the base with raised panel all on ogee bracket feet, eight-day, five-pillar movement with rack striking and recoil escapement regulated by a brass-faced pendulum bob and steel rod and powered by two brass-cased weights, ht. 98 in. to top of finial.
Replacement seating board and ogee feet, brass finial by association, movement complete but could use a cleaning.
