John Dickson & Son Rook Rifle with Maker's Case, c. late 1880s, serial number 4597, .250 caliber, walnut stock with checkered forend and grip, the frame with fine geometric engraving and cartouche engraved "DICKSON & SONS/63 PRINCES ST./EDINBURGH," with leather maker's case and tools, overall lg. 42 1/4 in.
